My Neighbors

These two pictures are so funny but I never noticed what actually was going on until I edited these pictures. The man is Sam Hostetler from across the street. He can't drive anymore as he has Alzheimer's and so he takes many a walk and if my neighborhood children are out playing he often has fun with them. Anyway the little girl is Monica whom I had posted about in previous posts. Her parents are my renting from the same landlord I am so she is one of my neighbors. Jason is the same age Monica is and they are the best of friends.

The first picture Monica is blowing bubbles at Sam, and the second pic obviously is Sam holding his arm and saying "Ouch" as a bubble landed on his arm. It must have given Monica the chills because she turned and ran for the house, telling her Mom to quickly open the door to let her in. Like I said it didn't actually sink in my mind what all is taking place until I edited these pictures. She makes my day.

Circus Fruits

Today was the first time that I biked through Pinecraft for the sake of biking. I noticed the fruit trees are just loaded & need props less the branches break. With the nights down to 45 degrees the fruit will be sweet and juicy. There is nothing like a tree ripe orange.
(Click to enlarge and you can taste the oranges, well almost.)

Perspective from Inside the Bus

I am back in Florida after a two week stay with family members in Ohio and Illinois over the Thanksgiving Holidays. I traveled up via the Pioneer Trails Bus line. These shots were taken yesterday before I came off the bus. There is always a crowd of friends and relatives waiting for the bus to come in. And some people are like me, just wanting to see who gets off the bus or being with the crowd that is waiting. This is where a lot of visiting gets done. This is also when I take a lot of pictures of the back side of people, but yesterday I took the opportunity to to shoot from the bus before I got off. I put the flash off and help the camera right up to the window.

Bus Day

Today the Pioneer Trails Bus came in. The bus was late for they had said they had a hold up in Tampa, whatever the hold-up was. So people stood in the hot sun or in a little bit of shade and visited and waited until the bus finally arrived.

This is Ivan & his wife visiting with Ray Miller.

Here is a mode of cargo transportation from the bus to it's destination. Tomorrow I plan to board this bus and head for Ohio to spend Thanksgiving with my family.

Richard, My Neighbor

These pictures are posted in the sequence I shot them. What do you think the talk or conversation is in the last two shots?

Fence Painting

Lonnie Miller from Plain City Ohio is painting the fence of the joint property four siblings own. I just happened to scoot past him and stopped for a visit. I asked him if I may take a picture of him painting because I blog. So while we visited and he painted I snapped two pictures of him. I couldn't decide which one to post so here are both shots. Two Widows

These are two sweet widow ladies who have lived in Pinecraft for ages. Katie Borntrager on the right is a year round residence and Barbie Smoker comes down six-eight months out of the year. Both lady's lost their husbands last summer or early fall. This morning they were sitting here on this bench at the Laundromat sharing hearts. I eyed them while they were in deep conversation and so wanted to capture them with my camera. So I waited until they were ready to part and quickly pulled out my camera and asked if I may have a picture of them together. They sat back down again and straightened out their dresses and and gave me their sweet smile. These are both godly women who live a life of servicing others. Basically they are just continuing to reach out same as their husbands did before they passed into eternity. Katie's husband was a deacon and Barbie's husband, well I don't want to tell what his right hand would do that the left hand never found out; a very giving man.
